Uncle Steve

This is definitely the site of the moment:

My previous quotes post got HUGE and linked all over the place, so will be updated regularly with more. Some of the new ones are fabulous :)

Also: go to http://www.livejournal.com/users/elicons/11396.html for some great icons based on the quotes post!

Nice one :) That'll wake 'em up. It's such a great site, am tempted to get the digital camera out at work and sent in a lab-coat-clad photo.

I think you ought to...

(even though chemistry's not my favourite thing right now, having spent the morning fruitlessly wading through chemical abstracts... gah!)

Oooh... I linked you last night and just got up to find people on my friends list had linked you too. Dude, I think you're famous now :)

I'm feeling the need to have a tea icon now! Yours is fabulous.

I'm getting comments from people at least six links down a chain, and coming in from random outside communities! It's crazy!

The animated tea icon that's going around is just genius, but mine is from here:
marysiak has said they're free to steal, so go for it :)

May I say, you have put up some entertaining stuff about this whole affair.

Hope you don't mind but I've added you to my list. After all, anyone who's a friend of alasdair and thalinoviel can't be all evil *grin*

Small world huh?

It sure is a small world, considering I know thalinoviel from University eight years ago and Alasdair from the last year in London...! Blimey.

Funnily enough, Uni is where I met than' - we were both UCL-ites, and since then I've discovered we have quite a few common friends.

As for Alasdair, he's a bit more of a friend of a friend, and I only tend to see him at Slimes.

Still, am glad I've signed up, I like the sound of the posts thus far.

Politics, yum

London Bombings

I reckon the tragic little bombers will give up soon. Even if they are particularly thick they must realise what a total and utter waste of time bombing cities is? In particular London.

The reason?.... Because it achieves nothing. We have seen it all before and in this case, more than any other act of terrorism, it will achieve absolutely sweet FA....neither the government nor the public will alter anything and never will.

Bombers - forget it and crawl back between the cracks.

Re: London Bombings

I wish they would, but it's unlikely. Their version has England "burning with fear, terror and panic" so they're probably deluded enough to believe anything. Plus, y'know, they're promised the whole "virgins await you in paradise" thing. I'm really interested in how they crowbarred their beliefs from Islam, 'cos I've read it and it's just not in there :)

Re: London Bombings

The question is, are they trying (and/or succeeding) in convincing themselves in this utterance?
Alternatively, is this an attempt at marketing? Selling their image to anyone who will fall for it?

After all, this is part of the propaganda war, something played by both sides.
